1. Overview
YOGO Copilot is a commercial robotics solution assistant for exploring products and scenarios, creating projects, completing site surveys, generating solution reports, and submitting feedback.
Shanghai Yogo Robot Co., Ltd., operating under the YOGO ROBOT brand ("YOGO ROBOT," "we," "us," or "our"), is responsible for the personal data processed in connection with the app.
We process only the data needed to provide app functionality, protect the service, meet legal obligations, or carry out another purpose with your consent. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for personalized advertising.
2. Data we process
The data we process depends on the features you use. The table distinguishes data you provide, data generated while the app operates, and data returned by your device, our service, or an authentication provider.
| Category | Data | Purpose and source |
|---|---|---|
| Account and authentication | Username, password, optional email address, user ID, account type, authentication token, and token expiration time. | Provided by you during registration or sign-in, or generated by our service, to create your account, verify identity, maintain your session, and prevent unauthorized access. Never send passwords or authentication tokens to us by email. |
| Google Sign-In, if enabled | Google account identifier, email address and verification status, display name, profile image, hosted domain, and the ID token used to verify sign-in. | Provided by Google when you choose Google Sign-In, to verify your identity and link or create a YOGO Copilot account. We do not receive your Google password. |
| Profile and contact details | Name or display name, phone number, profile image, and any phone number or email address you voluntarily include with feedback. | Provided or uploaded by you to display your profile, provide advisor services, respond to feedback, and communicate with you. |
| Project, survey, and solution data | Project name, business region, building type, building name or address, device model, selected modules, survey answers, and solution details such as pain points, objectives, risks, devices, elevator brands, operators, delivery models, and generated reports. | Provided by you when creating projects, completing surveys, and generating solutions. We use it to save your work, perform estimates, generate decision packages, and display reports. A business region or project address you enter is not device GPS location. |
| Feedback and uploaded content | Feedback text, images you choose to upload, and an optional contact phone number or email address. | Submitted by you so we can investigate issues, improve the product, and respond. Images may contain personal or sensitive information visible in the image; remove unrelated content before uploading. |
| App activity and diagnostics | Randomly generated visitor and session identifiers; app launch, resume, and background events; page and feature codes; action type; duration; processing status; related project, category, solution, or region identifiers; and limited error details. | Generated automatically as you use the app to understand feature operation, diagnose errors, maintain reliability, and improve the experience. We do not use this data for personalized advertising. |
| Device and network request data | Interface language, client platform, IP address, request time, API path, response status, and similar network and security logs. | Processed by the app or server during network requests to return the appropriate language, establish a connection, prevent abuse, audit activity, and diagnose failures. We do not actively collect IMEI, IMSI, or SIM serial numbers. |
| On-device storage | Authentication token and account profile snapshot, language preference, random visitor identifier, current session identifier, app activity events awaiting successful submission, and necessary content cache. | Stored within the app's device storage to keep you signed in, remember settings, retry after a network failure, and improve loading performance. |
Photos and media
- When you change your profile image or add an image to feedback, the app opens the system photo picker. It reads and uploads only the image you select; it does not scan your entire photo library for this feature.
- When you choose to save an advisor QR code, the app writes that image to your photo library. Android 9 and earlier may require the legacy external storage write permission; newer Android versions use the system media store. Saving a QR code does not upload other photos from your library.
Data the current version does not actively access
The current version does not access device GPS location, contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone data, health data, the list of installed apps, or persistent device identifiers for its business features. It does not include advertising SDKs. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, provide a prominent in-app disclosure and obtain consent first.
3. How we use data
We use the data described above to:
- Create and manage accounts, verify identity, maintain sessions, and protect account security.
- Save profiles, projects, surveys, and solutions, and generate estimates, decision packages, and reports.
- Upload and display selected profile or feedback images, receive feedback, investigate issues, and respond.
- Provide localized content, network communication, necessary caching, and core app functionality.
- Measure feature operation, detect failures or abuse, and improve service performance and user experience.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and valid legal processes.
- Carry out another specific purpose that we describe to you and, when required, obtain your consent.
5. Permissions and your choices
- Internet access. Used to connect to YOGO Copilot services and load content. It is required for core app functionality.
- Photos or media. Used only when you select a profile or feedback image, or save a QR code. You can cancel the system picker or deny the relevant permission without affecting features that do not use media.
- Language. You may choose the interface language in the app. The preference is stored on your device, and the corresponding language code is sent with requests so localized content can be returned.
You can review or withdraw granted permissions in Android system settings. Withdrawing a permission may disable the feature that depends on it but does not affect unrelated features.
6. Data security
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including HTTPS in production, authentication and access controls, server-side authorization, operational monitoring, and access restrictions for personnel and providers. Session information is stored in the device space assigned to the app. Signing out, token expiration, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app removes or invalidates the relevant local session information.
No network or storage system can guarantee absolute security. If a personal data incident is likely to affect your rights, we will take remedial measures and notify you and relevant authorities when required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain accounts and services, resolve disputes, protect security, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the data category, sensitivity, purpose, whether you continue to use the service, potential risks, and applicable legal requirements.
- Local language preferences, session data, visitor identifiers, and pending app activity events are generally retained until you sign out, the token expires, you clear app data, or you uninstall the app. Some preferences may remain after sign-out so they are available the next time you use the app.
- Account profiles, projects, surveys, solutions, and feedback are generally retained while the account is active and as needed to provide the related service, or until a valid deletion request is completed.
- Security, audit, and operational logs are retained only for a reasonable period needed to diagnose failures, prevent abuse, fulfill contracts, or meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
- After deletion, copies may remain in protected backups until the normal backup rotation completes. We do not use such backups for another purpose except disaster recovery or compliance with legal obligations.
8. Delete your account and associated data
You may request deletion of your YOGO Copilot account and the profile, projects, surveys, solutions, feedback, uploads, and usage data associated with it. Use the button below and keep the subject line “YOGO Copilot Account Deletion Request.”
Request account deletionTo verify account ownership, include your username and the registered email address or phone number, if one is associated with your account. Never send your password, verification code, or authentication token.
What happens after a request
- We verify that the requester is associated with the account using reasonable methods and may ask for additional information.
- Once verified, we delete the account and delete or irreversibly de-identify associated data. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not itself delete the server-side account.
- Limited data that must be retained for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, audit, or dispute resolution is isolated and used only for that purpose, then deleted or de-identified when the required period ends.
- Account deletion is generally irreversible. We will send the outcome to the contact method used for the request.
If you want to delete only a particular project, feedback item, or uploaded image, use the same email address and identify the content to be deleted.
9. Your data rights
Depending on the law where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask whether we process your personal data and request access to or a copy of it.
- Edit your name, phone number, and profile image in the app, or ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account, specific content, or data that is no longer needed.
- Withdraw consent, or request restriction of or object to processing, when applicable.
- Complain to a data protection or consumer protection authority with jurisdiction.
Submit a request using the email address in “Contact us.” To protect account security, we may first verify your identity. Certain rights may be subject to exceptions and limitations under applicable law.
10. Children
YOGO Copilot is intended for adults involved in commercial robotics projects and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data without permission from a parent or guardian, contact us. Once verified, we will take appropriate steps, including deletion, as required by applicable law.
11. International processing
Because we and our service providers may operate in different countries or regions, your data may be processed outside the place where you live. When a cross-border transfer occurs, we use contractual measures, access controls, encryption, or other appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law and limit processing to the purposes disclosed in this policy.
12. Policy updates
We may update this policy when app features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The revised version will display a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide an appropriate notice in the app or through another suitable channel and request consent again when required by law.
